Multitalented artist, poet, writer, sculptor and jeweler, Claire Haye has a sale on this weekend at her gallery, Claireworks, in Arroyo Seco.
The promotion begins today (Sept. 10) and runs through Sept. 12.
"Small pleasures bring us joy," Haye told Tempo. "I will have 25 percent off rings, earrings and pins," Haye said," and I will be in the gallery from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days."
Haye recently installed a 7-foot sculpture of an angel outside her gallery that has been slowing down traffic passing through the charming village. The angel is made from ceramic and fabric on a steel internal armature and stand.
"This is 'Angel 2,' an installation, and an expression. Not for sale," said the artist.
"She's a dark angel with a mask," said Haye. "A kind and benevolent presence - the idea that we have angels in our midst appealed to me at this time.
"Angels make themselves known in all cultures and come in many forms," she explained.
The sale will run at the gallery, 482a State Road 150, Arroyo Seco, as well as online at claireworks.com.
