Singer / Songwriter Max Gomez

On May 1st, 2021, Taos singer/songwriter Max Gomez will be hosting the livestream concert The Road Home.

"New Mexico will always be home to me, no matter where I'm living, New Mexico will always be home,” says Gomez. "I'm thrilled to invite friends and fans alike to join me on this musical road trip. We'll wind and curve down the roads of Santa Fe, Tucumcari and Red River to my hometown of Taos, N.M.; sharing songs along the way with the band and some very special guests."

The Road Home takes the listener on a journey around New Mexico with Max and a world class band. The show kicks off with the band in Tucumcari on Route 66, then Max takes the listener on a journey up to Taos. From there they go up into the mountains of Red River for a very special performance filmed on the stage of the Motherlode Saloon. The journey concludes in Santa Fe where Max is reunited with world class flautist Robert Mirabal for a very special collaboration.

Max Gomez grew up in here in Taos, where he fell under the influence of country blues early on, before discovering classic singer/songwriters including Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark and John Prine, as well as folk-based rockers like Tom Petty and Neil Young, honing his songwriting skills and developing a style that melded all of his influences, but was still uniquely his.

Gomez released a debut album, the Jeff Trott-produced Rule the World, on New West Records in 2013. After touring steadily following the release of his debut, Gomez paired with producer Jim Scott for the 2017 EP, Me & Joe.

Both Michael Hearne and Robert Mirabal make appearances here on The Road Home. See link to Facebook event
