Working toward a Taos free of plastic

This coming Monday (May 20), Plastic-Free Taos, led by the owners of Coffee Apothecary, will join several elected officials for a discussion about how to reduce plastic in the community.

The talk will start at 6 p.m. at the Taos County Democratic Party Headquarters, 729A Paseo del Pueblo Sur in Taos. The event is free and nonpartisan.

Taos town councilors Darien Fernandez and Pascualito Maestas and Taos County Commissioner Candyce O'Donnell will discuss "their efforts to reduce and eliminate plastic bags and other single-use plastics in our community. Small business owners, restaurateurs and retail store managers have been invited to attend this roundtable forum where best practices and other ideas will be discussed," according to an announcement from the Taos County Democratic Party.
