Winter Market opens Dec. 2


The Taos Saturday Winter Market will be held Dec. 2 and Dec. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Guadalupe Church Gym on Don Fernando Street, west of the Taos Plaza.

More than 45 vendors will sell their wares and crafts at the fair this year. Among them are Henrietta Gomez with her blue corn tamales, Dick Ergas with vintage Indian jewelry, Charles Acuna with stone knives and bows and arrows, Frana’s alpaca wool, Dana Blair with her special teas, Geronimo with his horno breads, Alexandra Rose with her prize-winning pastries, Pepe’s Salsa, Cindy Stone with her herbal remedies for arthritis and insomnia, Fidel Garcia with his copper jewelry, Marie Claire Maurice with her micaceous jewelry, Juan Madrid’s bolo ties, Diane Eger’s silver jewelry, Mike Coleman’s leather belts, Leigh Gusterson’s paintings of local scenes, Kathy Morsell’s pottery, Adrian Tann’s Persian rugs, Mose’s and Cameron’s handmade furniture, Eli Meyer’s Christmas wreaths with mistletoe, and many others.
