Wayne entered this world on June 5, 1946 In Fort Defiance, Arizona and departed from Taos Pueblo on September 12, 2018 for a peaceful rest with his Heavenly Father.
 
He is preceded in death by his father David Stewart Wright, his son Stewart Wayne, his brother Tom and his Beloved Mother Lorenita Wright.
 
He is survived by his love and wife of forty nine years Delfina and son Steven. Adopted son Johnny Jozwiak/Trisa - grandsons Jedrick, Linik Wayne & Tate granddaughters Avery & Onya - Jada Santos, very special who he loved like a daughter. Special friends Diana, Vona/Danny Trujillo - his adopted little brother Andy Cavalair / Etta another Brother Rodney Wall/Liz fr England. His brother Eugene Wright/Pricella, nephew Lyle. Sisters Gina/Al & nieces Gloria Martinez/Cippy, nephew Carlos, niece Angela, Wanda Wright (sister), nieces Scarlett, Violett, Tangerine. Brothers (in law) John Romero/Helen, Andy-Luis/Ginger, Joe/Joanne, sister in law-Rose Sandoval.
Wayne was raised in Española. In High School he became a Española Hornet Quarterback for football. He was a Golden Gloves recipient in High School. He also excelled in track & field where he held the record for long distance running which was finally broken in the late 80s.
After graduation he joined the Marines. His true calling. His motto was "Country First". He served 2 tours in Vietnam. He won his second pair of golden gloves, this one in boxing with the Marine Corps. In the Corp he got his rifle expert medals, high score shooter. He served as a sniper. He also received 3 purple hearts, being wounded 3 times. He is a recipient of other medals some of which the Vietnam people awarded him. Due to his time spent in the Vietnam jungles fighting the Vietnam Con. he got what the service calls 'Agent Orange' - three different diseases which were the cost of losing his life. He was buried at Taos Pueblo Cemetery, as his request. We love you & will miss you very much. You are gone but not forgotten. Semper Fi My Love.
