On Jan. 29, my son had a wellness check with his pediatrician at Taos Clinic for Children and Youth. The appointment was scheduled for 3:20 pm. When we arrived, at least four to five other children arrived after us, and were called in before my child while we waited. We had a scheduled appointment.
We finally got acknowledged about 30 minutes later. My child got the normal procedures for vitals that gets done at a wellness check before the doctor comes in. Then we got showed into a room and were left alone. About 20-30 minutes passed, with no contact. I questioned what was going on. "We are really busy, we'll be right with you."
My child was hungry - luckily I had something to eat for him in the car. Still no contact. I questioned the fact again, but no response. We left. I made an appointment with the new facility through Holy Cross Hospital. I called the establishment this morning to speak with a supervisor, and her explanation to me was it had something to do with my son's insurance. Well then, why was that not explained to me? She did apologize, but the fact to me is the staff yesterday had no professional skills to explain what was going on. The staff member did explain that the owner was notified. When I asked to speak with the owner, of course, the owner was unavailable! Thanks for taking care of the children.
