A nearly full moon shed light on the opening evening of the 32nd annual Taos Pueblo Powwow Friday (July 7) and rain showers blessed the second day of the event Saturday, which attracted hundreds of dancers and thousands of spectators.

A total of 15 drum groups kept the beat and the songs going for dancers throughout the days and into the nights.

The event continues Sunday (July 9), with gourd dancers in the morning and the final Grand Entry scheduled for 1 p.m.
