The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from Oct. 23-28.

Oct. 23

10:33 a.m. Assault, Taos Middle School – A caller said a student in the office had assaulted a staff member.

1:39 p.m. Medical unknown, New Mexico Children Youth and Families Department – A caller said her son was having a seizure.

4:41 p.m. Welfare check, Bealls – A caller said a woman was wrapped in a blanket near the grassy area by the store.

11:22 p.m. Harassment, Taos High School – A caller said she was afraid she was going to be jumped.

Oct. 24

8:37 a.m. Burglary commercial, Wendy’s – A caller said someone broke in during the night and stole all the money from the safe.

12:45 p.m. Larceny, Natural Accents Gallery – A caller said a man wearing a black hoodie with tattoos on his neck stole some rings and then left the store headed southbound.

4:48 p.m. Unconscious fainting, Aaron’s Furniture – A man was unconscious and bleeding behind the building.

6:08 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Public Library – A caller was worried that a homeless man sleeping in a pup tent was going to freeze during the night.

Oct. 25

8:58 a.m. Fire, structure, Casa Benavides – A caller reported there was a fire in a room at the bed-and-breakfast.

11:14 a.m. Welfare check, Taos Public Library – A caller said an older man lying on a bench outside should not be approached because he can be dangerous. The caller said he will hit you with a cane if you get too close.

12:42 p.m. Criminal damage, Paseo del Cañón East – A caller said someone keyed his car. He said there were two big scratches down the hood.

1:20 p.m. Shoplifting, Family Dollar – A caller said a man in a black hoodie stole some items.

1:41 p.m. Trespassing, Hatchery Road – A caller said some drug dealers were hanging out on her father’s property.

7:49 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Toalne Street – A caller said some guy was beating up his girlfriend.

9:47 p.m. Fire, wildland, South Plaza – A caller said two people went behind McCarthy Plaza and were building a fire.

Oct. 26

12:21 a.m. Public affray, Gusdorf Place – A caller said a bunch of people were fighting by the main office.

8:26 a.m. Narcotics offense adult, Calle de Oro – A caller said a neighbor had been shooting up and leaving needles everywhere. The caller was worried that she or her cat were going to get stuck by one of them.

8:13 p.m. Disturbing the peace, Fred Baca Park – A caller said a group of people were fighting at the park.

Oct. 27

2:23 a.m. Welfare check, DreamTree Project – A caller said a man in the area was screaming and sounded like he was having some kind of mental episode.

3:54 a.m. Breaking and entering, Vagrant Heart gallery – A caller said someone was trying to break into the shed in the back.

12:06 p.m. Criminal damage, Alterations Boot Shoe Repair – A caller said someone tried taking off the top lock to the business.

8:11 p.m. Loitering, El Camino Lodge – A caller said some people were hanging out by the fence and scaring guests.
