The Taos County Fire Department has issued a no-burn day notice due to Thursday’s (March 26) forecasted high winds.
The national weather service has forecasted winds with gusts in excess of 30 mph during the day and sustaining into the evening.
Rain is projected for the morning and mid-afternoon but Taos County Fire Marshal James Hampton issued the warning due to the weather forecast.
Taos County residents can obtain a burn permit through the county website as the main operations are closed due to concerns over COVID-19.
