The Taos News is pleased to bring our readers extended coverage of the candidates vying for power in the Nov. 6 general election.
First off, you'll see a sample ballot for Taos and Colfax counties attached to this story. It is largely as it will appear for voters, though there will be slight differences depending on where you live. Registered voters can check their individual sample ballots at NMVote.org.
Early voting is underway at the Taos County Administrative Complex, located at Paseo del Pueblo Sur and Albright Street in Taos, Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The complex will also be open Saturday, Nov. 3, the final day of early voting.
Three alternative sites around Taos County will open this Saturday (Oct. 20). People can vote at these other locations Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those sites are the Old Armory on Blueberry Hill Road in Taos, the Questa Municipal Hall and the Peñasco Community Center. The last day of early voting is Nov. 3.
As of Thursday (Nov. 1), more than 5,500 Taos County residents have voted. If you're not among them, vote early or make your way to the polls Nov. 6.
