Susan Gayle Orange Lefthand Of Taos Pueblo & Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribal Member passed away peacefully on 3/4/20 she was surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death and greeted with open arms by her late Father Thomas "Tommy' Lefthand Jr., mother Macrina Lucero, ststers Bernadette Lefthand-Cordova & Barbara Lefthand-Mondragon, son Rayburn Orange Jr, Granddaughters Monique & Barbara Sandoval & many beloved family a,. friends. She is survived by her children Antoinette Brown (Richard), Macrina Lefthand (Quanah) and Forrest Lefthand. Grandchildren, Antonio Lujan, Miguel & Isabella Pemberton, Casey Orange, Kyanna Brown, Anthony John Sandoval, Nikolai & Dexter Van Winkle, Lorry Ann, Cecilia & Nitonis Lefthand. Mother Josephine Lefthand, Brothers Gary (Felicia) , Harold Lefthand , sister Janet (Benson) Lefthand. Great uncle Ben John Martinez, Great Aunt, Linda Anderson and many numerous beloved family and friends. Susan lived her life like a free bird who loved to travel. She grew up here at Taos Pueblo and went to school at St. Michaels Indian School and went on to service her community as dispatch­er/ detention officer and a intake coordinator/counselor with Taos Detox Program. She lived her life in Arizona, Oklahoma & New Mexico. She settled back in with her family and lived her life to the fullest spending her time with her children and grandchildren watching movies & hanging out. She loved doing arts n crafts, beading, cooking & baking traditional oven bread, pies & cookies. We will miss our Mother, her warm smile & hugs!May God Bless her care team, I HS Dr. Gerling, Nurse Regina & staff, Fresenius Dialysis Center, Dr. Ocneanu, Dr. Voinescu, Dr. Glenda King , NM Heart Institute, Dr. Henao, Holy Cross Hospital staff, HCH Wound care staff, Doug, Suri, Camille & Andrea, Hanger Clinic, Yvonne, Home Mountain Home Care staff, Christus St. Vincent Hospital, Taos County EMT Support & staff . Thank you for your sincere care of our mother.
