Sunday ride — for 100 miles

Posted

A trio of bicyclists approach the stoplight at Taos Plaza before heading east along U.S. 64 on their way to completing the 2019 Enchanted Circle Century Bike Tour Sunday (Sept. 9).

The 100-mile tour, which began in Red River (elevation 8,750 ft.) is not for the faint of heart as it takes riders from its start at 8,750 feet to a low point of 7,000 feet and a high point of 9,820 feet at the top of Bobcat Pass. The Enchanted Circle is a well known scenic drive that encompasses Taos, Questa, Red River, Eagle Nest and Angel Fire.
