Taos Tigers football team defeated the Bloomfield Bobcats 14-7 at home for their first ever championship Dec. 1, 2018.

Abigail Gunther of Taos – pole vault (11 feet), 300-meter hurdles (45.91 seconds)

Faith Powell of Taos – long jump (18 feet, 6.25 inches), high jump (5 feet 4 inches), triple jump (36 feet, 7.5 inches)

Jonah Vigil of Taos – 100 meters (10.51 seconds), 200 meters (21.40 seconds), 400 meters (47.75 seconds), long jump (22 feet, 10.25 inches)

Taos Boys 4 x 400-meter relay team (3:19.14)– Abdul Khweis (starter), Missael Hermosillo (second leg), Jonathan Garcia (third leg), Jonah Vigil (anchor)

Jonah Vigil of Taos ran the 100 meters in 10.51, breaking the 25-year old record set by James Hillard of Lovington in 1984.

The Taos Boys 4 x 400-meter relay team – Abdul Khweis (starter), Missael Hermosillo (second leg), Jonathan Garcia (third leg), Jonah Vigil (anchor) – set a new state record of 3:19.44 seconds, breaking the old record of 3:21.10.
