Taos Middle School dance team takes first

The Taos middle school classic dance team headed down south to participate in the Cleveland Challenge competition. And they didn't disappoint.

Coached by Danique Silva and Raelynn Dimas, the dance team took first place in the middle school competition on Saturday (Nov. 9) which happened also to be their first competition of the season.

Taos ice hockey opens season with a win

The Taos Ice Tigers got their first win of the season in their season opener against Odessa, 2-1, at the Taos Youth and Family Center on Saturday (Nov. 23).

The Ice Tigers were supposed to have a second match on Sunday (Nov. 24) but had to forfeit due to sick players. Although they forfeited the game, Odessa lent the Ice Tigers a player so they could get a scrimmage in -- and they did. However, the Ice Tigers dropped the scrimmage match, 8-2. The two goals both came from Jordan Cisneros, a senior.
