Posted

Just when you thought winter was done with us, surprise. More snow is headed for Northern New Mexico, with a couple of inches predicted over Monday night (May 20)  in upper elevations around Red River, Angel Fire and Chama, according to meteorologists with the National Weather Service. Areas above 8,500 feet could receive up to a foot of snow.

Monday night temperatures around Taos County are expected to dip below freezing.

Tuesday (May 21) could see rain and thunderstorms in the north with high winds elsewhere in the state, especially along the Interstate 40 corridor.
