Taos County first responders are at the scene of a single-vehicle car crash on Highway 522 in San Cristóbal tonight (Nov. 27) that left two people injured.

According to Taos County Emergency Services Chief Chris Medina, the driver of the vehicle  was suspected to have been traveling at a high rate of speed when their car left the roadway near mile marker 15 shortly after 5 p.m. Medina said the vehicle may have rolled.

Two people in the vehicle were taken to Holy Cross Hospital. One is in stable condition and the other is in critical condition, according to Medina.

Reports overheard through Taos Central Dispatch indicate that the vehicle that crashed is a white 1995 Ford registered to a woman with possible outstanding warrants, but it was not clear if the driver was still at the scene when medics arrived.
