Other sports events happening this week:
Skiing to raise breast cancer awareness
On Saturday (Feb. 15), Taos Ski Valley will host Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) and its event "Shred the Love" to help raise awareness for those affected by the disease.
Money raised from the event will go to B4BC and Anita Salas Memorial Fund, a nonprofit which helps those needing financial assistance.
The event will host K2 Bumps Challenge, a "marathon" down the slope Al's Run. Athletes who participate in the race will have to have raised more than $100 by the time of the event.
There will also be a silent auction for custom "one-of-a-kind artwork created on snowboards, skateboard decks, helmets and more."
Toward the end of the event, there will be food and music as well as a raffle.
