Few spots remaining in Senior Baseball League
The new Senior Baseball League in Taos is filling up, with only a few more open spots. There are currently weekly practices with pickup games soon to come once the final few spots are filled. Everyone over 55 is welcome, running is optional and mad slides into home are not required, as injury-free baseball is a primary concern.
The league is free and meets on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. at the Taos High School baseball field. According to Mark Pritchard, league organizer, "It's beautiful out there on the field at that time of day, and it's a real pleasure to play with with newly unretired baseball players of similar age and skill level. I'm not sure how any old-time baseball player can resist a weekly pickup game - where you don't have to prove yourself or get injured trying. Come check it out, We're having fun and we invite you to join us."
Email Mark Pritchard at email@example.com to reserve one of the remaining openings in the league.
"This could be our last dance on the field of dreams before we're all put out to pasture," Pritchard said.
