Schantz, Berkshire Hathaway celebrate 30 years in Taos real estate


Joel and Marny Schantz are celebrating 30 years in the real estate business at their company's Mariposa Center location. Starting out as Realty World - The Schantz Co. in 1987 with four agents, the company moved in 1994 to Prudential Taos Real Estate. Today, as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Taos Real Estate, part of the HSF Affiliates family of real estate brokerage franchise networks, a top-ranked real estate firm in Taos.

Joel Schantz, as broker/owner and all-time top producer, sees that the team of licensed brokers throughout the years has built a strong reputation in Taos for the company. "The Berkshire Hathaway HS brand today continues with its brand reputation, leadership and financial strength," according to a press release from the company. "The Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices appeals to the broadest range of consumers, including affluent buyers in the higher-end markets. The robust technology, training and marketing support allow the [continued] growth of our clientele."

Marny Schantz said in a press release that in today's trade, "using the technology in marketing, sales, and education is paramount."

"As manager, Marny offers and trains brokers to be the most efficient and knowledgeable in the market," according to a press release from the company. "Resources include powerful lead generation, a handy mobile app and much more."

In mid-September, the company released an announcement that the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices real estate brokerage network ranked "highest overall satisfaction for repeat home sellers among national full-service real estate firms" in the J.D. Power 2017 Home Buyer/Seller Satisfaction Study.

In the 10th annual study, customer satisfaction was measured through March and April among the nation's largest real estate brokerage companies and their agents. Overall satisfaction was gauged across five factors of the real estate process: agent/salesperson, closing process, real estate company marketing, real estate company office and package of additional services. The study was based on responses from 4,170 consumers.

Among repeat home sellers, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices scored 858 on a 1,000-point scale, performing particularly well in agent/sales person, closing process and real estate company marketing.
