RV collides with cyclists

Update: Sept. 12, 3 p.m.

Emergency responders were dispatched around 3 p.m. Monday (Sept. 11) to State Road 518 to investigate reports of a hit-and-run.

Two cyclists were clipped by a white Winnabago and were transported to Holy Cross Hospital, according to central dispatch reports.

"One patient sustained multiple fractures and was later flown to University of New Mexico Hospital," said Joaquin Gonzalez, Director of Taos County Emergency Services. "The second patient was treated at [Holy Cross Hospital]."

Police identified a similar white Winnabago down the road from the incident, but it was unclear if it was the vehicle involved in the incident.
