RTD hosts public meeting to modify Chile Line


The North Central Regional Transit District (RTD "Blue Bus") will hold a public meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, (March 20), in Coronado Hall, El Taoseño room, 120 Civic Plaza Drive in Taos to present service changes to the RTD Chile Line Red and the expansion of Chile RIDE. As part of a six-month pilot project, the Chile RIDE will begin offering demand service within a three-quarter mile range of the RTD Chile Line Red.

There will be new options for accessing Holy Cross Hospital and new public library access. The US Bank bus stop on Taos Plaza will be relocated to the Guadalupe Church parking lot and to a new bus stop on Civic Plaza Drive eastbound.

Demand service allows callers to schedule a pickup and drop-off within the service area for $1 each way.
