Reverend Robert Glenn Salazar,


Reverend Robert Glenn Salazar, Went to heaven to be with Jesus Christ, His Lord and Savior, on December 30, 2019 at the age of 88 in Frisco, Texas. He was born in 1931 in Taos, New Mexico and graduated from Taos High School in 1950.  He married Marilyn Steinberger in Lewistown, Pennsylvania in 1956. He served in the US Army in the Korean War and graduated from BIOLA Bible College in Los Angeles, California with a BA in Christian Education.  He served as Pastor of the Albuquerque Grace Brethren Church for 5 years, served as Pastor of the First Brethren Church of Taos for 16 years, New Mexico, produced the daily Chapel Time Radio Program for 16 years, and established the Taos Christian Academy where he served as Principal for 15 years.  He served on the Taos School Board, served as Chairman of the Governors Regional Criminal Justice Council of Northern New Mexico as appointed by the New Mexico governor, and was a member of the Taos, New Mexico Rotary Club. He served as the Camp Director of the Summer Brethren Camp at Loma Verde, where he shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with thousands of children, established the Grace Brethren Foreign Missionary office in Spain, served as Pastor of the Everett Grace Brethren Church in Everett, Pennsylvania, and was a member of the North Dale Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, Amado Salazar and Maria Elsie Gutierrez, beloved wife Marilyn Grace Steinberger and brother Lloyd Salazar.  He is survived by three children, Colleen Young, Alan Salazar, Jeffery Salazar, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Rose Holcomb, Elsie Salazar and 3 brothers: John Salazar, Timothy Salazar, and Amado Salazar. Grave site service will be held at Maitland Cemetery in Lewistown, PA and a Memorial service to be held in Taos, New Mexico.  Date, time, and venue of both services to be announced at a later date.
