Opinion: Rael Montoya best qualified to be clerk

I am writing this letter in reference to a candidate who is running for Taos County clerk. This candidate is Valerie Rael Montoya.

I have attended a couple of Democratic events last year where Ms. Rael Montoya has spoken at. I feel she is very knowledgeable, well-versed and has a lot of experience behind her.

I also believe [that as] Ms. Rael Montoya is currently the chief deputy clerk she knows how to run an office efficiently and smoothly. It is also my belief just from hearing Ms. Rael Montoya speak in public that her experience speaks highly for itself, as she brings excellent credentials to this position with many certifications that she currently holds.

The clerk's duties do require filing accurate records, overseeing voter registration and scheduling elections. Ms. Rael Montoya is highly capable and understands the importance of keeping good records and of dealing congenially with the public.

Ms. Rael Montoya is a friendly, honest, reliable individual who is willing to work the long hours that is required for this position. I highly and strongly believe Ms. Rael Montoya is the person best qualified to be our next Taos County clerk.

I am highly impressed with her experience and knowledge of what she has to offer being our next Taos County clerk.
