The public is invited to get acquainted with the snakes and raptors from the New Mexico Wildlife Center Friday (June 16), 1-2 p.m. at the Taos Youth and Family Center.
The New Mexico Wildlife Center tour is free and for audiences of all ages. The New Mexico Wildlife Center, based in Española, is dedicated to conserving and restoring native wildlife and their habitats through action-oriented education, promotion of public awareness, strategic partnerships and responsible wildlife rehabilitation.
The center, started decades ago by a veterinarian, has rehabilitated hundreds of raptors, bears, deer and other wildlife. Most of the animals recover enough to be returned to the wild.
Town of Taos Community Events and Taos Youth and Family Center are bringing the event to the area. For more information, call Judy Esquibel at (575) 751-2037 or contact her via email at email@example.com.
