Protect reproductive choices

Let me make one thing perfectly clear. No person, no organization, no government, has any right to control any part of my body. Invasions of my uterus are more violent and unlawful than kicking down my front door and seizing control of my home.

Protect reproductive choices

Let me make one thing perfectly clear. No person, no organization, no government, has any right to control any part of my body. Invasions of my uterus are more violent and unlawful than kicking down my front door and seizing control of my home.

And the campaigns in state legislatures and in Congress to restrict my personal property rights have nothing to do with religious beliefs or concern for the "unborn." They are an attempt by insecure men to return women to their "traditional" role of virtual slavery. Restrict my reproductive choices and you restrict my lifestyle and career choices.

Weigh me down with a slew of unwanted children and you make me dependent on the largesse of those who are not so encumbered, i.e., men.

News flash! Your genitals will not shrivel up and fall off because I am your constitutional, legal, moral and social equal. You are more likely to lose them if you persist in trying to stuff me back into a box which I have never in my 77 years accepted and which I will fight, politically and - if necessary - physically, to my dying day.

You may think that you are winning because you have managed to shove restrictive legislation through your state houses and our courts, but ultimately, you will lose. There will be another Revolutionary War against tyranny fought on American soil. And we will win because you are wrong and we are right. We will never return to "barefoot and pregnant."
