The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from Jan. 8-13.

Jan. 8

8:09 a.m. Assault, Vista Grande High School - A caller said a student who rode the Blue Bus to school had been chased by someone armed with a knife near the administration building.

8:39 a.m. Animal stray, AutoZone - A caller said that some people in two vans parked near the roadway were letting a pit bull out that was being aggressive and chasing customers.

12:17 p.m. Warrant, Walmart - A man who had been trespassing on the property was selling sage in the parking lot.

1:58 p.m. Criminal damage, Taos Middle School - A caller wanted to file a report regarding her son's phone having been destroyed by another student.

2:23 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Paseo del Pueblo Norte - A caller said there was a man with a bunch of signs on the sidewalk just north of Michael's Kitchen.

3:29 p.m. Animal stray, Holy Cross Medical Center - A caller said some people had taken service dogs into the hospital that were becoming aggressive.

Jan. 9

6:59 a.m. Trespassing, Taos Men's Shelter - A caller said a man at the shelter who had been asked to leave was refusing.

7:16 a.m. Shoplifting, Super Save - A caller said a man in a green Army jacket stole some items and took off running southbound.

10:47 a.m. Welfare check, Paseo del Pueblo Sur - A caller said someone driving behind Albertsons said he was a police officer and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. A responding officer later determined the person was a mechanic and not an officer.

11:48 a.m. Theft of motor vehicle, Gusdorf Road - A caller said his neighbor told him his vehicle had been stolen on Monday. The caller suspected it was his younger brother.

4:12 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Walmart - A caller said a man in a silver Kia was pointing a gun at people walking by.

6:58 p.m. Shoplifting, Walmart - A caller said two people had been caught shoplifting at the store. One was waiting in a white car in the parking lot.

Jan. 10

3:06 a.m. Property lost, Burch Street - A caller said that a woman was in his house screaming and yelling at him. He said she had tried to attack him about 40 minutes ago.

7:59 a.m. Theft of motor vehicle, Gusdorf Road - A caller who was in a hospital in Santa Fe said that someone had stolen his car.

3:28 p.m. Trespassing, Taos Public Library - A caller said a man wearing a tan puffy jacket was bothering library patrons.

6:41 p.m. Larceny, Antigua de Mexico Imports - A caller said someone had stolen some tools out of the back of his truck.

4:36 p.m. Missing juvenile, Upper Toda Vista Road - A caller said that his 12-year-old niece had gone missing. She was last seen wearing black and white shoes, blue jeans and a red sweater that said "Red River" on it.

Jan. 11

9:13 a.m. Burglary commercial, Shree Yoga - A caller said that someone threw a rock through a window and broke into the yoga studio sometime during the night.

11:51 a.m. Welfare check, Hampton Inn - A caller said a man who appeared to be drunk had fallen on the sidewalk near the bus stop.

12:47 p.m. Alcohol offense adult, VA Clinic - A caller said a man was very drunk and having trouble breathing.

2:47 p.m. Traffic accident, no injury, Taos County Chamber of Commerce - A caller said that she had been involved in a three-car hit-and-run.

7:25 p.m. Civil stand by, Taos Youth and Family Center - A caller was requesting an officer because there was a competitive hockey game going on and some parents were getting rowdy.

Jan. 12

9:40 a.m. Harassment, Straight Arrow Road - A caller said that her cousin was posting things on Facebook about violating her and her cousins when they were younger.

9:54 a.m. Larceny, Taos Inn - A caller said at some point yesterday or last night that someone had stolen some items from the Taos Inn.

12:10 p.m. Traffic hazard, Paseo del Pueblo Sur - A caller said that someone had dropped some lumber in the roadway and didn't realize it.

3:25 p.m. Criminal damage, Siler Road - A caller said that someone had shot at the building. The caller said there were bullet holes in the walls.

6:13 p.m. Harassment, Smoke Shop - A caller said a man was threatening to go to the smoke shop with a machete and demand free merchandise.
