The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from Nov. 13-18.

Nov. 13

7:41 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Albertsons - A caller said that several men got out of a vehicle and approached her in the parking lot of the store asking for money. When she said she couldn't give them any, they offered to carry her groceries. She said they blocked her path during the exchange, which she felt was suspicious.

1:02 p.m. Burglary automobile, 5 Star Burgers - A caller needed an officer in reference to some items that had been stolen from her vehicle.

3:01 p.m. Information report, Taos County Courthouse Complex - A caller said a school bus hit a minivan, breaking a window on the bus.

5:23 p.m. Carbon monoxide poisoning, Taos Post Office, 318 Paseo del Pueblo Norte - A caller said she received a call that there was a chemical smell at the post office. Two people who were exposed to the chemical were transported to Holy Cross Medical Center for treatment while a hazmat team from Los Alamos responded to clean up the unknown substance.

8:38 p.m. Fraud-forgery, Kachina Lodge - A caller said he checked his bank account and noticed that someone had forged and cashed a check.

Nov. 14

1:36 p.m. Criminal damage, Bealls - A caller said the heating units on the top of the building had been vandalized.

3:28 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Camino de la Merced - A caller said he wanted to report "an established meth" house in the area.

4:22 p.m. Shoplifting, Paseo del Pueblo Norte - A caller said a tall man in a camo hoodie with a tattoo on his neck stole from the business and then took off running southbound.

7:15 p.m. Larceny, Smith's - A caller said someone stole her purse inside the store, but didn't see who it was.

7:43 p.m. Trespassing, Taos Inn - A caller said a highly intoxicated woman on the patio was refusing to leave.

Nov. 15

1:28 a.m. Welfare check, Eagles Club – A caller said some people were arguing in Spanish.

2:53 a.m. Shots fired, Valverde Street – A caller said someone shot out the window to his house.

10:30 a.m. Trespassing, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A callers said some people were rummaging through the trash. A responding officer advised them to stop dumpster diving in the area.

11:44 a.m. Larceny, The Hampton Inn – A caller said she noticed her purse had been stolen last night when she was leaving work.

1:06 p.m. Property lost, La Cueva Cafe – A caller wanted to report that his wallet had been lost or stolen two weeks ago.

4:39 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Martyrs Lane – A caller said a man, possibly a tribal member, was walking around with a backpack that appeared to contain a type of assault rifle.

Nov. 16

2:48 p.m. Harassment, Mante's Chow Cart – A caller said some kids driving in a Chevy Tahoe keep coming into the restaurant trying to jump one of their employees.

8:47 p.m. Traffic stop, Este Es Road – A caller said a driver in a dark Charger was speeding and passing in a no-passing zone without headlights on.

Nov. 17

6:55 a.m. Animal stray, Cid's – A caller said a pack of dogs was attacking another dog.

3:30 p.m. Harassment, Don Fernando de Taos – A caller said some people were following her and harassing her.

5:13 p.m. Shoplifting, Beall's – A caller said two shoplifting incidents had occurred at the store.

Nov. 18

8:09 a.m. Information report, Teresina Lane – A caller said a man was starting a fire in an alleyway near Taos Plaza.

8:16 a.m. Warrant, Walmart – A caller said a man wearing a green jacket was just in the store attempting to shoplift. The caller believes he has an active warrant.

12:47 p.m. Battery, Taos Fire Department – A caller said someone maced her in front of the fire department. She said she didn't seek medical treatment and didn't want to file a report.

1:57 p.m. Property found, Sagebrush Inn – A caller said a man turned in a set of keys to a brand new car.

2:48 p.m. Robbery, Smith's – A caller said a woman tried to take off with another woman's purse. An officer later detained the suspect on a road behind the store.

4:25 p.m. Criminal damage, Cervantes Drive – A caller said someone broke the window and door to his grey GMC.

11:08 p.m. Disturbing the peace, Calle de Oro – A caller said her neighbor was playing his TV loudly and slamming things around, keeping her awake.
