The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from Aug. 28 to Aug. 30.

Aug. 28

12:22 a.m. Welfare check, Subway - A caller said an employee appeared to have left a door open. An officer was en route to search the building.

7:49 a.m. Trespassing, Paseo del Pueblo Sur - A caller said there were homeless people on their property who they wanted removed.

2:16 p.m. Narcotics offense adult, Allsup's, 1050 Paseo del Pueblo Sur - A caller said a man was shooting up behind the building.

3:23 p.m. Assault, Holy Cross Medical Center - A caller said a patient was threatening to kill people.

6:53 p.m. Disturbing the peace, Taos Public Library - A caller said there were some kids trying to jump another kid.

Aug. 29

8:50 a.m. Larceny, Mariposa Plaza - A caller said a woman had stolen a painting from her office.

1:34 p.m. Welfare check, Tewa Street - A social worker from Albuquerque was trying to contact a man whose wife is in the hospital and needed to be transferred to another facility.

7 p.m. Theft of motor vehicle, Holy Cross Medical Center - A caller said a woman had stolen his white 2018 Jeep.

8:36 p.m. Harassment, Speedway, 823 Paseo del Pueblo Sur - A caller said that six people were threatening him and trying to lure him outside to beat him up.

10:25 p.m. Welfare check, Ranchos Plaza - A caller said a barefoot child wearing a shirt and a diaper was running around on the roadway.

Aug. 30

5:06 a.m. Suspicious circumstances, Apache Street - A caller said two men were walking around the neighborhood with flashlights.

9 a.m. Animal stray, Taos Police Department - A "mean dog" made its way into the caller's yard.

1:45 p.m. Suspicious package, Salazar Road - Someone had left a heavy black box on the caller's porch.

3:38 p.m. Warrant, Walmart - A man was walking around the parking lot with a rifle.

3:46 p.m. Domestic disturbance, La Luz Drive - A physical domestic disturbance was in progress. A woman screamed and the call ended.

4:11 p.m. Animal abuse, Valverde Street - Caller said someone was beating a dog in their area.

8 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Inn - A woman was jumping into traffic.

10:54 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Municipal Court - Caller wanted to speak to police in reference to people camping in the area.
