The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from June 27-July 2.

June 27

6:26 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Albertsons – A man wearing a black T-shirt and a black hat was running through the parking lot looking in vehicles.

8:47 a.m. Animal stray, Padre Martinez Lane – A caller reported that an animal had been locked in a gray Infiniti for two hours. Upon arrival, however, an officer determined that the animal was fine.

9:12 a.m. Loitering, Kit Carson Park – A homeless man was asleep in the dugouts, where some kids needed to be for practice.

2:36 p.m. Sex offense juvenile, location unspecified – A woman called to report she had been a victim of a crime when she was 14 years old.

3:16 p.m. Welfare check, Del Norte Lane – A woman called to say that her husband was being physically abusive. She said there were two young children in their home.

4:13 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Caldwell Banker – A caller said there was a bike in front of her car and wanted an officer to check and see if it was stolen.

4:17 p.m. Civil standby, Cavalry Court – A man was asking for an escort to retrieve some personal items from his house, stating that his wife is very abusive and that he didn’t want to go alone.

4:39 p.m. Chest pain, Zia Circle – A 70-year-old woman was experiencing chest pain and having great difficulty breathing.

8:43 p.m. Protection order violation, Kit Carson Park – A man at the movies at Kit Carson Park was in violation of a protection order, according to the report.

8:59 p.m. Traffic accident, injury, Chamisa Road – A caller said a woman driving a vehicle wrecked into her fence.

9:16 p.m. Domestic disturbance, Kit Carson Park – A caller said she had just been jumped.

11:56 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Upper Ranchitos Road – A caller said someone was in her yard and might have been trying to break in.

June 28

12:26 a.m. Disturbing the peace, Gusdorf Road – A caller said someone was throwing a party in the unit above her. She wanted an officer to ask the tenants to stop.

7:42 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Paseo del Cañon East – A bike was found stashed near a green utility box on the side of the road.

9:56 a.m. Harassment, Cruz Alta Condominiums – A caller said a man had been making threats.

4:34 p.m. Larceny, Kachina Lodge – A caller said that four boxes of ammunition were taken from his hotel room earlier in the day.

5:02 p.m. Welfare check, Cid’s – A caller said they saw a man carrying some type of firearm as he walked southbound on Paseo del Pueblo Norte. They said it could be a BB gun, but weren’t sure.

7:47 p.m. Alcohol offense adult, Camino de la Placitas – A man holding a beer was walking in and out of the roadway.

8:33 p.m. Welfare check, Sunset Park – A caller said a man was laying on the bridge, possibly masturbating.

June 29

12:29 a.m. Battery, Los Pandos Road – A caller said two men and two women had been involved in an altercation where punches were thrown.

12:45 a.m. Disturbing the peace, Salazar Road – A party was going on in the area, disturbing other residents.

8:01 a.m. Welfare check, Kachina Lodge – A child wearing a hat was standing outside the hotel and looked lost.

11:16 a.m. Welfare check, Kit Carson Park – Two men were shooting up heroin in the cemetery. One was a white male with a ponytail. The other man appeared to be Native American and was injecting heroin between his toes.

2:52 p.m. Larceny, Smith’s – A customer had their wallet stolen from the grocery store.

8:49 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Montoya Street – A caller said a tenant was intoxicated at their residence and refusing to leave. The caller said this individual hadn’t paid their rent.

9:30 p.m. Assault, Taos Plaza – A caller said he had been robbed by another man behind Taos Plaza.

11:16 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Gusdorf Road – A caller said their downstairs neighbor was grilling and the smoke was getting into their apartment.

June 30

2:22 a.m. Law, unknown problem, Allsup’s (north) – A caller said some individuals from Taos Pueblo were fighting in the parking lot.

10:53 a.m. Missing juvenile, Walmart – A caller said their son had been missing since last night. They described the juvenile as wearing a dark grey T-shirt and about 120 pounds. He has the last name “Jaramillo” tattooed on his forearm. He was last seen on Straight Arrow Road around 3 a.m.

6:35 p.m. Traffic accident, no injury, Kit Carson Road – A driver of a black BMW SUV said a driver in a green Ford pickup struck his vehicle and then fled the area.

7:33 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Quality Inn – A caller said he saw a bald man chasing a woman in the parking lot.

7:41 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Sun God Lodge – A caller said he was walking his dog behind the motel and found a red torn skirt on the ground.

8:33 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Morgan Road – A caller said their neighbor was flying a drone over their property.

July 1

2:24 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Cielo Azul – A caller said a drunk man with a ponytail was trying to break into their apartment.

1:15 p.m. Assault, Ranchitos Road – A caller said a man outside her home appeared to have been badly beaten and needed medical attention.

1:48 p.m. Breaking and entering, Burch Street – A caller had just gotten home and said he discovered his door damaged as though someone had tried to break in.

7:16 p.m. Traffic accident, no injury, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A caller said he had just been involved in a hit-and-run near the intersection with Paseo del Cañon East. He said the driver of the vehicle fled southbound.

7:25 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Allsup’s (south) – A caller said she heard state police on the radio yelling that they had deployed tasers.

8:46 p.m. Medical unknown, Kit Carson Park – A man had fallen and was having trouble breathing.

9:49 p.m. Traffic stop, Sonic – A driver was passing in the middle lane, almost hitting other vehicles.

11:06 p.m. Shoplifting, Allsup’s (south) – A man stole some beer and then took off in a small red car, headed westbound on Bertha Street.

July 2

3:21 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A caller said there was a suspicious car in the area that was playing loud music with its headlight turned off.

4:05 a.m. Law, unknown problem, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A caller said a man was painting the road lines and making too much noise.

2:18 a.m. Larceny, Theodora Street – A caller said someone had stolen his pedal bike from his garage.

4:31 a.m. Larceny, Walmart – A caller said someone broke into his vehicle and stole some items.

7:38 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Men’s Shelter – A woman wearing dark clothing was laying in the dirt outside the shelter.

8:41 p.m. Overdose, State Road 68 – A caller said there was a man laying on the side of the road who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. When police arrived, they discovered that the man had overdosed.

9:42 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Deliberately Fit – A man in an orange shirt and black pants was walking around exposing himself.

10:36 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Reed Street – A caller said a robbery was going on at a trailer park in the area.
