The following is a condensed version of Taos Police Department reports from Sept. 20-25.

Sept. 20

2:19 a.m. Reckless driver, Taos Community Auditorium – Someone was doing donuts in the parking lot behind the building.

8:06 a.m. Animal noise, Zuni Street – The caller would like to speak to animal control regarding some barking dogs in the neighborhood.

8:13 a.m. Welfare check, Kit Carson Park – There was a man acting strangely crawling on his hands and knees.

11:45 a.m. Traffic stop, Ledoux Street – A black Acura with two passengers almost hit a pedestrian.

1:25 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Taos Middle School – Two female students were caught fighting.

1:32 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Plaza – A man was heard screaming and yelling for 20 minutes.

2:59 p.m. Information report, Walgreens – Someone had questions concerning the disposal of prescription drugs.

5:04 p.m. Warrant, Albertsons – A wanted man was seen at Albertsons on a bicycle alongside another man on a bicycle.

9:58 p.m. Shots fired, Cruz Alta Road – The caller heard two shots coming from Paloma Street and saw a vehicle taking off.

Sept. 21

8:34 a.m. Animal abuse, Fred Baca Park – A collie was chasing a ball in the park and making the other dogs upset.

11:57 a.m. Welfare check, El Cerrito Apartments – The caller was requesting a welfare check on their neighbor. They said they could hear children screaming from inside the house. When police arrived, it turned out to be a Chihuahua puppy that was making the noise.

2:44 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Camino de la Placita – The caller wanted to speak with an officer about someone who has been making threats to her at a gallery.

3:47 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Caffe Tazza – The caller said that one of their co-workers went to Smith’s to get sandwiches and came back with one, but it was raw. They weren’t feeling well, but didn’t want an ambulance. They wanted to speak with an officer.

5:08 p.m. Traffic accident, injury, Salazar Road and Ranchitos Road – A truck rear-ended a motorcycle.

6:48 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Yellow Rose – There were three or four men behind the building fighting and yelling at each other. One of the men had his shirt off and two other men were lying on the ground.

10:28 p.m. Information report, Quality Inn – A suspicious person in a gray hoodie was spotted in the parking lot looking under cars.

Sept. 22

1:39 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Kit Carson Park – There were two males trying to climb a building in the park.

4:04 a.m. Prowler, Camino de la Merced – There was a scruffy-looking man walking around and looking into windows.

11:30 a.m. Traffic accident, private property, Kit Carson Park – A large burgundy van rolled into the road and hit another vehicle.

4:47 p.m. Narcotics offense, adult, Taos Eco Park – The caller said that one of his students found an eyeglass case with hypodermic needles in it.

5:34 p.m. Welfare check, McDonald’s – There was a man passed out behind the wheel of a green car.

Sept. 23

1:22 a.m. Disturbing the peace, El Cerrito Apartments – The caller reported that some people were partying behind her apartment.

10:45 a.m. Larceny, Wyndham – The caller advised that a guest had his tire stolen off his vehicle sometime during the night.

11:56 a.m. Harassment, Super Save – A woman reported that a man was harassing her in the store and then left with his mother in a gray car.

3:31 p.m. Assault, Taos Men’s Shelter – The caller advised that he was just assaulted by another male at the shelter.

3:40 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Loma Parda Apartments – The caller advised that she was eating a pizza, bit into a nail and chipped her tooth.

6:28 p.m. Welfare check, Shell – There was a man wearing “hospital booties” walking north.

7:13 p.m. Larceny, DreamTree Project – The caller advised that one of the kid’s rooms was robbed. There were items missing and things were starting to escalate between the kids.

10:08 p.m. Trespassing, Kachina Lodge – There was a man who hadn’t paid for the night and was refusing to leave.

Sept. 24

11:50 a.m. Law, unknown problem, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – The caller stated that she has mental problems and hasn’t taken her medication. She was being violent toward her daughter and was requesting assistance.

11:59 a.m. Disturbing the peace, Pentecostal Church of God – The caller advised that a man was drunk and yelling inside the church during services.

4:37 p.m. Law, unknown problem, North Plaza – The caller said he was deaf and trying to buy a piece of jewelry from a local jewelry store. He said he felt he was being discriminated against because the employees kept hanging up on him.

5:37 p.m. Medical unknown, Taos Urgent Care – A 60-year-old man stated that he had ingested tea tree oil.

Sept. 25

8:47 a.m. Animal stray, Camino de la Serna – The caller reported that there was an aggressive dog roaming the neighborhood.

3:08 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Kachina Lodge – There was a disgruntled employee arguing with the manager.

3:32 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Kachina Lodge – The caller advised that he was rented a room that had black mold. He wanted to see how he could get his money back.

4:08 p.m. Welfare check, Albright Street – A man in a gray shirt had been passed out at the bus stop for more than an hour.

9:56 p.m. Animal, wild, U.S. 64 – A deer had been hit by a car.
