The following is a portion of the condensed version of the Taos Police Department Blotter from Aug. 16-21.

Aug. 16

12:39 a.m. Welfare check, Bent Street – Report of a homeless man laying down outside Casa Feliz with all of his stuff up against the caller's door.

3:38 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Super 8 motel – A man was reported hiding behind the dumpster who was looking in the back of trucks in the area.

9:18 a.m. Criminal damage, Brigitte U. Lotze Law Offices – The caller advised that windows were smashed.

11:26 a.m. Harassment, Randall Lane – A man on a bicycle holding a knife or a machete threatened to stab the caller.

12:19 p.m. Welfare check, Walmart – An 11-year-old girl was reported holding a sign saying she is homeless.

4:05 p.m. Information report, McDonald's – An individual wanted to file a report regarding signs on or near the roadway.

8:49 p.m. Alcohol offense adult, Allsup's (north) – A white man wearing a bandana and a gray hoodie appeared to be highly intoxicated and was trying to get into other people's vehicles.

9:35 p.m. Juvenile problem, Rivali Lane – Caller advised they came across a 4-year-old boy who had become separated from his parents.

Aug. 17

5:41 a.m. Larceny, Taos Men's Shelter – Caller advised that a man wearing black walked off with a laptop computer.

8:11 a.m. Parking violation, John Dunn Parking – Caller advised there was a grey Chevy Malibu parked in handicapped parking for three weeks.

9:37 a.m. Narcotics offense juvenile, Taos High School – Caller advised they had caught three boys with drug paraphernalia.

12:37 p.m. Medical unknown, Des Georges Lane – A woman in a gray Toyota appeared to have passed out.

4:28 p.m. Shoplifting, Albertson's – Caller reported a woman had stolen some shampoo.

8:03 p.m. Theft – Caller reported an individual who had just stolen their vehicle, which she described as a white 2007 Toyota Corolla.

8:39 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Yu Garden – Caller advised there was a very young girl and a man who appeared to be in his late 20s in the parking lot having an intimate moment. The caller thought the girl was way too young for the man.

11:12 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Maria Lane – Caller advised they have an Air BnB rental in Taos. No one was supposed to be there, but the lights were on, the caller said.

Aug. 18

1:13 a.m. Overdose, Reed Lane – Caller advised that he had taken the wrong medication.

3:02 a.m. Alcohol offense adult, Kachina Lodge – Caller advised that her 33-year-old son was drunk and refusing to get out of her vehicle and threw her phone out the window.

6:25 a.m. Law, unknown problem, Holy Cross Hospital – A female patient wearing a gown had walked out of the building around 11 p.m. and hadn't returned.

7:43 a.m. Traffic accident, injury, Laughing Horse Gallery – A pedestrian was stuck by a vehicle near the gallery along Paseo del Pueblo Norte. The patient complained of minor hip pain and a brief loss of consciousness, but was awake and stabilized.

8:31 a.m. Animal stray, Kit Carson Park – The "donkey guy" was grazing his donkeys in the park. The caller was unsure if he was picking up after them.

9:06 a.m. Larceny, Sagebrush Inn – The caller wanted to report that a chainsaw and some other bags had been stolen from the back of his truck. He wanted to speak to an officer about it.

11 a.m. Narcotics offense adult, Adult Probation & Parole – An officer found marijuana in a vehicle they were searching.

12:38 p.m. Welfare check, Walgreen's – A man was screaming at traffic at the top of his lungs, yelling obscenities.

2:38 p.m. Theft of motor vehicle, Taos Ale House – The caller said they left their 1965 Ford F-100 near the bar the night before, and when they came back this morning, the vehicle was gone.

4:35 p.m. Narcotics offense adult, Phil's Electrica – There was a man and a woman with tattoos shooting drugs into their feet across from the store.

5:25 p.m. Public affray, Teresina Lane – There were people tearing out the caller's landscape and fighting in the alley.

9:11 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Teresina Lane – There were some kids throwing rocks near the alley.

9:39 p.m. Shoplifting, Walmart – A woman stole a pair of slippers around 8:50 p.m.

10:28 p.m. Criminal damage, Valverde Street – The caller reported that someone in a vehicle shot out the back window of their vehicle. The suspected vehicle had left the area.

11:11 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Plaza – There was a man with his shirt off threatening people passing through the plaza.

Aug. 19

8:09 a.m. Larceny, Linda Vista Lane – Caller reported a man had broken into his house and stole his medication.

8:22 a.m. Alcohol offense adult, Walgreen's – Several men and at least one woman had been hanging out behind the store for days. There was a lot of trash strewn about.

9:05 a.m. Reckless driver, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – A driver in a midnight blue Hyundai heading southbound was reported for reckless driving.

9:20 a.m. Animal stray, Kit Carson Park – A dog in the park was charging people and behaving aggressively. The caller was concerned it might bite someone.

10:50 a.m. Alarm commercial, Guadalupe Credit Union – A hold-up alarm was activated on the premises.

12:41 p.m. No address available – The caller stated a woman came to her door crying, stating her step father had punched her the night before and he started beating her up again today. The caller was requesting to speak with an officer.

2:33 p.m. Criminal damage, Cielo Azul – The caller said her daughter became upset, kicked in her windshield and ran off.

4:15 p.m. Shoplifting, Albertson's – A male shoplifter had been taken into custody and was being held upstairs.

4:15 p.m. Welfare check, Linda Vista Lane – A male in one of the units was acting strange, yelling and talking to himself. The caller had seen this individual place firearms into his vehicle.

4:37 p.m. Criminal damage, Henningson Gallery – The caller reported some kids were vandalizing their property inside and out.

6:33 p.m. Welfare check, Applebee's Restaurant – A 40-year-old woman was extremely intoxicated, lying on the ground behind the old Applebee's.

9:07 p.m. Domestic disturbance, Fernandez Lane – Caller advised she had been drinking with her boyfriend, they got into an argument and he punched her in the face.

10:23 p.m. Animal noise, Jaramillo Road – Caller advised a dog in their neighborhood had been barking all night and that it barks all the time. An officer was unable to make contact with the suspected canine.

Aug. 20

2:08 a.m. Alarm commercial, Taos Vapor – Caller heard the alarm go off and then saw someone running and get into a vehicle. The caller couldn't see who they were or what type of vehicle they got into.

2:48 a.m. Breaking and entering, Ensignal – Caller advised they thought the store had been broken into. They had received an alert that some of the devices were moving around.

5:37 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Taos Retirement Village – Caller advised that her neighbor was attempting to break into her house.

6:16 a.m. Shots fired, Lavadie Trailer Park – Caller stated they had just heard a gunshot that sounded like it was very close by. They suspected it had come from east of his trailer.

4:37 p.m. Disturbing the peace, Herdner Road – A bunch of people were drinking mouthwash next to the Dollar Tree.

5:37 p.m. Reckless driver, Kit Carson Park – There were cars doing donuts in the field. One was blue in color and the other was a sedan with tinted windows.

5:48 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Walmart – An individual was walking around the parking lot checking car doors and looking into vehicles. They were wearing black pants, a tan hoodie, a bright orange hat and white tennis shoes.

Aug. 21

7:47 a.m. Abandoned vehicle, Bent Street – A vehicle had been parked for three weeks in a handicapped spot.

8:39 a.m. Criminal damage, Sagebrush Inn – Some people were trying to break into a vehicle during the night that was parked beside a motorcycle, which was damaged during the incident.

9:48 a.m. Animal stray, Bella Vista Apartments – Caller advised that a brown dog was running loose on the property.

12:02 p.m. Breaking and entering, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – Caller reported that a building in the area had been broken into the night before.

3:03 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Cruz Alta Road – A small silver sedan was parked in the area and vehicles were seen pulling up beside it, talking to the driver and then leaving.

4:08 p.m. Welfare check, Albertson's – A man at the bus stop was passed out under a bench. He appeared to be intoxicated.

7:05 p.m. Shoplifting, Albertson's – A man had been taken into custody for stealing alcohol.

7:46 p.m. Domestic disturbance, Taos County Adult Detention Center – A woman ran into the women's restroom in the detention center, a male was following, yelling at her.

7:51 p.m. Disturbing the peace, El Camino Lodge – A female guest was causing a disturbance and making threats toward other guests. The caller said they saw lots of people coming in and out of her room and that the guest seemed to be under the influence of something.

9:10 p.m. Alarm commercial, Blumenschein Museum – Caller advised the alarm was going off at the museum.
