Photo Gallery: Moments from the 52nd annual Rodeo de Taos

Rodeo-lovers from Taos and throughout the state packed the stands of Taos County Sheriff’s Posse for a tradition that dates back to the 1860s. The annual Rodeo de Taos offered visitors the chance to observe events including bareback, saddle and ranch bronc riding, barrel racing, team, tie-down and breakaway roping, bull riding and steer wrestling over the course of two days. Cowboys and cowgirls exhibited their skill, tenacious spirit and athletic ability for the 53rd year in Taos. Kids were periodically invited into the arena each day for interactive entertainment that included calf ribbon races and boot scrambles.
