“Even though we can't have a big ceremony, we can still do things to honor the fallen," said Roy Hogsett, Chair of Taos Veterans Living Memorial Park.

Not Forgotten Outreach, the lead of a coalition with Taos Pueblo, Taos VFW Post 3259, and DAV Chapter 12, hosted a virtual flag dedication ceremony on Memorial Day (May 25) at the new Taos Veterans Living Memorial Park. A 20-foot flagpole with a flag was donated by Rio Grande Ace Hardware. The ceremony kicked off phase one of the park's construction, which consists of an ADA-accessible walking trail crossing over a spring-fed drainage waterway, a World War II anti-aircraft cannon and a pollinator corridor.
