Rodeo-lovers from Taos and throughout the state packed the stands of Taos County Sheriff's Posse for a tradition that dates back to the 1960s.

The annual Rodeo de Taos, Saturday and Sunday (June 22-23), offered visitors the chance to observe events including bareback, saddle and ranch bronc riding, barrel racing, team tie-down and breakaway roping, bull riding and steer wrestling over the course of two days.

Cowboys and cowgirls exhibited their skill, tenacious spirit and athletic ability for the 53rd year in Taos. Kids were periodically invited into the arena each day for interactive entertainment that included calf ribbon races and boot scrambles.
