The article in the 7/25 Taos News regarding the Town of Taos budget shortfall is a stark reminder or wake-up call for the importance of shopping locally. It should drive home the point that every dollar spent in Taos puts money into the coffers of the local government to fund the police department, fire department and the recycling center. Not to mention support of our local nonprofits.
