When you come to TBH, you will be greeted by our new receptionist - Nancy Diamond, a consummate welcoming personality with over 30 years of experience in various roles in Taos. She will help you feel comfortable and make sure your immediate questions are answered.
Then you will visit with Tiffanie Hines--our intake staff member who will make certain that we have all your contact and insurance information and will listen carefully to the concerns and goals which bring you there. Hines has been in Taos for 10 years working at a variety of behavioral health agencies and also as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens. She is completing an internship with us, while finishing a master's degree in social work at New Mexico Highlands University.
In a new role, but a familiar face, is Eric Mares who recently accepted the clinical director position. These three staff members are keys to making sure that whatever the challenges you describe, you are paired with a clinician with the skills and interest to meet your needs. We understand that it is the human relationships that make all the difference in your journey to health.
Diamond is experienced in marketing, sales and real estate administration and fundraising. She is familiar with Taos life and brings her caring energy and communication skills to the critical beginning of your journey with us.
Hines comments, "My passion is helping and serving others to be the best versions of themselves." She came to TBH for an internship and accepted the intake position because of the competent supportive staff who come from many backgrounds and are always available to support her growth. Hines brings her experience at Tri-County Community Services, the Taos Living Center, Taos Retirement Village, Valle del Sol and Agave Health to enhance her therapeutic skills with clients. Her work as the intake coordinator enables her to provide informed suggestions and questions to the rest of the clinical staff.
Mares is responsible for administering all the services from our staff of 21 master clinicians. It is a familiar role for him after serving as the Northern New Mexico behavioral health regional supervisor for the New Mexico Children Youth & Families Department. A native of Taos, Mares has a master's degree in social work and nonprofit management, is a licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor supervisor and has extensive experience in direct group and individual therapeutic services, protective services investigation, curriculum development, supervision and job training and education for students and professionals.
Mares is particularly skilled at leading a collaborative team where each unique program in TBH has independence but can also utilize the skills of all staff. He and Hines are creating an effective Intake process that will make all client experiences more satisfying and responsive.
Mares declares that supporting clients on the challenges of their life journeys is a great privilege to him. He is currently planning with staff who will be part of the Residential Treatment Center for adolescent males and working on a five-year vision with the directors, CEO Simon Torrez and the TBH Board.
Come see us and know that our staff is more than ready to serve you with caring, efficiency and top-notch skills.
