New Mexico State Police issued a press release Saturday morning (March 28) stating that El Prado resident and local musician Gloria Jaime Mandala has been found "alive and well."

Mandala, 68, was reported missing on March 20, 11 days after she had left her residence in white Hyundai and told her landlord that she planned to return on March 10.

In an initial press release announcing that Mandala had gone missing, state police said that she was "believed to be in danger if not located," but did not indicate why the 68-year-old was believed to be in peril.

Where Mandala disappeared to for the last eight days remains unknown.

Another local musician, Melissa Crabtree, remains missing. Authorities are still actively seeking leads as to her whereabouts. Information on that case can be reported to Taos Central Dispatch at (575) 758-2216.
