Message from the Dean of Instruction

Congratulations to the UNM-Taos Graduating Class of 2020!

What an amazing accomplishment you have achieved under such unique and trying circumstances.

This has been a semester like no other, and one that we could never have predicted. I’m so proud of all your resilience and determination in completing your educational journey.

While we would prefer sharing this celebratory moment in your lives with you in person – inclusive of your family, friends and classmates – we know it’s not safe to do so at this time. Thus, we are finding new and innovative ways to acknowledge your accomplishments.

We know this semester brought great challenges to students, faculty, staff and the Taos community as a whole. The pivot to remote learning presented even more challenges, but also many success stories.

We also know that the foundation set by your time here at UNM-Taos will serve you well in your future endeavors, and we can’t wait to see what you will do next. UNM-Taos is here to help you transition into the workforce or to help you transfer to a four-year university.

To all the High School Equivalency (HSE) students, we are proud to welcome you into the Lobo community.

Randi Archuleta, Ph.D., dean of instruction, UNM-Taos
