Letter: Odd amendment

Posted

In the mail I received a notice about the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative annual meeting at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 9 at Taos High School.

One of the amendments to be discussed is a statement that says "no business of the Cooperative shall be conducted at District meetings." It's odd that the company whose motto is "owned by those we serve" will not let "those they serve" talk about business at the meetings! Another odd thing about this amendment about no business to be discussed comes after the article in the Taos News about Angel Fire customers being overcharged for their electricity.

Quite the coincidence! I wonder what else Mr. Reyes is trying to hid from "those they serve"?
