Opinion: Honesty and integrity in Taos

In the middle of winter, in the middle of a snowstorm, I sit in Santa Fe in my car, which will not run. I am 73 years old and while I sit stranded, the chemotherapy pump pumps in the agents which keep me alive.

I am 120 miles from home: Costilla.

Tooooo frigging much.

The outcome of this pain in the neck experience was a happy, unexpected big surprise for me. Metric Motors took full responsibility for the breakdown, towed my car to Taos and lent me a Prius to drive while they fixed the problem, caused by one careless employee (who is no longer there).

There is still honesty and integrity in small businesses. Metric Motors is at the top of my list. I have gone there for 30 years and will continue to.

Thank you, Juan and Dave. You are my heroes.
