A last minute effort to try and raise money for the Taos Youth and Family Center’s hockey rink is underway and time is running out.

A small group of Taos hockey parents stumbled on a NBC Sports contest calling for rinks across the U.S. to submit photos, stories and videos of local rinks. If chosen, the rinks enter a judging competition and the chance to win a grand prize of $150,000 and a National Hockey League preseason game.

Parents and those interested are encouraged to share their photos and stories on the link provided .

The link for the Taos ice rink allows for community members to post on that section. Those interested can post their stories of the rink and why the Taos Youth and Family Center should be selected to continue in the contest.

The contest entry date ends Saturday (Mar. 2) at midnight.

Taos Youth and Family Center’s rink is used by hockey and figure skaters of all ages and holds open skate for those looking to sharpen their skills.
