Trinnie and Luís Barela were born and raised in Taos and have lived here all of their lives. They have four children: Carlos, Pat, Louie and Christine, who all live in Taos.
Luís retired from the Carson National Forest and Trinnie retired from the Taos Municipal Schools.
They have always enjoyed the Fiestas de Santiago y Santa Ana. They look forward to attending many more Fiestas, siendo Dios servido. They are active members of San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos.
They enjoy traveling and have been to many different places including Hawaii, Alaska, Italy, Florida, St. Thomas, St. Croix and Mexico.
They enjoy spending time with family and friends. Their home is always open to anyone who comes to visit. They also enjoy working.
Trinnie loves her flower gardens and Luis gets his daily exercise by bringing, chopping and stacking wood for the winter. They are honored this year to be the Grand Marshals of the Historic Parade.
