The exhibition, “Arte de Descartes XVIII,” now hanging at the Stables Gallery of the Taos Center for the Arts through Saturday (Sept. 8), is a compendium of wildly imaginative three-dimensional works — all made from discarded materials — that will no doubt surprise and delight visitors.

The show’s founder, Melissa Larson of Wholly Rags, said the show’s artists offer a range of expressions, many of which offer pointed commentary on sociopolitical issues. The Stables Gallery is located at 133 Paseo del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM. Video was shot and edited by Rick Romancito, editor of Tempo magazine, the arts and entertainment magazine of The Taos News.
