What do you get when you add a Kansas City blues phenom, an Afropop diva, a quirky indie pop act, a sultry Latinx combo and a rising star singer-songwriter? The second annual Festival Eclectica, where world-class acts come together for an eclectic day of music, art, food, fun and more in the beautiful mountain village of Angel Fire, in the idyllic Moreno Valley of New Mexico.

Festival Eclectica cranks up the volume starting around 1:30 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 10) at the Colfax County Airport in Angel Fire. Gates open at noon.

“This year’s edition of Festival Eclectica is all driven by an eclectic array of award-winning female artists, led by a woman who has ‘kicked down the doors of the patriarchal blues club’ (The Kansas City Star), the critically acclaimed fiery, contemporary blues guitarist/singer/songwriter Samantha Fish,” a festival press release reads. “Fish has wowed audiences here and abroad, from Telluride Blues and Brews to New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, where this year she and her seven-piece band reportedly took no prisoners during her Main Stage performance.”

The festival also features soulful Angolan singer-percussionist-dancer Vivalda Dula, who has been likened to a young Angélique Kidjo. The quirky high-energy indie-pop by Red Light Cameras, fronted by powerhouse vocalist Amanda Machon, will bring their energetic garage pop to the festival’s mountain setting.

Nohe & Sus Santos is convened by celebrated Honduran vocalist and songwriter Nohelia Sosa who incorporates alt-rock en español, cumbia, pop grooves and beyond delivering a thoroughly fresh Latinx sound.

Completing the eclectic lineup, Northern New Mexico’s own bilingual Americana singer-songwriter Lara Manzanares will share her heartfelt stories of love, loss and the land she grew up on.

Festival Eclectica will also feature eclectic food selections, craft beer, wine, specialty beverages of all kinds and remarkable one-of-a-kind artisan booths among Enchanted Circle vendors. It all adds up to a dazzling and extraordinary weekend of fun, food and all kinds of amazing music. More information on the Festival Eclectica 2019 lineup can be found at festivaleclectica.info/lineup.
