The Northern New Mexico Citizens' Advisory Board will be meeting in Taos Wednesday (Sept. 26) from 1 to 5:15 p.m. at the Sagebrush Inn Conference Center.

Why does this matter? The board, appointed by the Department of Energy is made up of representatives who are focused on issues related to major federal energy sites, such as Los Alamos National Labs. The board looks at issues of environmental management, such as waste left over from weapons production.

The board will discuss, among other items, safety of environmental management at the labs in Los Alamos.
