Driver crashes into Coffee Spot in Taos

A driver crashed into The Coffee Spot property at 900 Paseo del Pueblo Norte on New Year's  before 9 p.m., according to reports on Taos Central Dispatch. 

Taos County Sheriff  Jerry Hogrefe confirmed the crash and said alcohol is suspected as a cause. The driver was arrested for DWI. No injuries were reported and the crash caused minor damage to the building and fence, Hogrefe said. The driver was the only person in the vehicle.

The coffee shop was closed at the time of the incident.
