A special meeting scheduled for Thursday afternoon (Jan. 31) at the Taos County Commission Chambers will offer resources to people affected by this month's fatal avalanche at Taos Ski Valley.
County Commissioner Candyce O'Donnell and Commission Chairman Mark Gallegos will begin the meeting at 4 p.m. by welcoming speakers from the county's spiritual and behavioral health communities.
Representatives from Valle del Sol, Taos Behavioral Health, Rio Grande Treatment Center, Red Cross, Compostela Community & Family Cultural Institute, Golden Willow Retreat and Holy Cross Hospital will be speaking about grief and healing, according to a notice of the meeting.
Time will also be set aside to discuss resources available for those who may be in need of individual counseling.
The meeting is set to run until 6:30 p.m.
