Chile Line Red Blue Bus route to resume in Taos

Posted

The Chile Line Red, a North Central Regional Transit District "Blue Bus" route, will resume regular route and service times beginning Monday (June 8).

The route provides fare-free service Monday through Friday throughout the town of Taos, Taos Pueblo and Ranchos de Taos. Because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, the line was temporarily reduced to "call-in" request service, along with several other routes NCRTD operates in the northern part of the state.

Jim Nagle, public information officer for NCRTD, announced this week that the RTD 100 Riverside and 110 Westside, two other routes that provide bus service in Española, would also resume normal service on June 8.

Nagle said NCRTD is continuing to take "aggressive measures to clean and disinfect passenger vehicles daily." Riders will still be required to wear masks and groups on each bus will be restricted to no more than five, as per Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham's orders in response to the pandemic.
