The Taos County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Women's Expo in Taos, Thursday (April 5) at the El Monte Sagrado Living Resort and Spa.
The Expo is designed "to create a comfortable atmosphere for women to explore the variety of businesses in Taos to serve their families," according to a press release announcing the event.
The Taos County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with The Taos News, Taos Community Foundation and Holy Cross Medical Center to bring this event to our community. Additional support for this event has been provided by US Bank, Friday Motors, Moxie Fairtrade & Handmade, Rio Grande CPA and El Monte Sagrado.
A soldout VIP breakfast is headlined by speakers, Valerie Clote, a "laughter professional," and Patricia Michaels, a designer from the Taos Pueblo. The keynote address will be by Michelle Roark, an Olympic athlete, chemical engineer and entrepreneur. Roark shares her experience and enthusiasm for "being a force" in one's own life.
More than 40 exhibitors will be at the free expo to showcase their products and services from 10 a.m until 3 p.m. today (April 5). Attendees will be given a door-prize ticket upon entry to win a prize provided by the exhibitors, Door prizes will be drawn every 15 minutes.
During the expo, specials will be available in the de la Tierra Restaurant and in the Living Spa. Overflow parking will be in the town of Taos free parking lot on Kit Carson Road. A shuttle will take participants from that parking lot to the hotel.
