Community Against Violence celebrated four decades of providing services to survivors of sexual and domestic abuse.

CAV supporters and staff gathered Saturday (Sept. 8) at the KTAOS Solar Center  in Taos to commemorate and share stories of their efforts over the years to protect people in the community. CAV provides a free 24-hour crisis hotline, support groups, counseling, children's therapy and help with transitional housing among other programs.

CAV accepts financial donations and manages a thrift store to help raise funds for its services.

For information on how to get involved and to volunteer, see their website at taoscav.org or call (575) 758-8082.

The CAV Crisis Hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: (575) 758-9888 (collect calls accepted)
